Wolcen: Lords Of Mayhem is an isometric ARPG Hack & Slash made in Cryengine that fully released back in 2020 after spending a few years in early access and initially being funded on kickstarter. I initially tried Wolcen back in 2018 and whilst the game didn’t blow me away at the time it’s certainly gone through a lot of changes and had many updates since the full release, WOLCEN has quite a big focus on story telling with tonnes of fully voice acted cut scenes throughout the entire game, there’s a full transmog system where you can customize your appearance and dye different components of your gear, you’ve got the typical giant ARPG skill tree with tonnes of customization options and in terms of gameplay Wolcen’s combat has more animation locks compared to other ARPGs. One unique feature of combat in Wolcen however is the Aspects of the apocalypse system, which allows players to transform temporarily into an celestial entity with its own unique abilities to deal big damage. Additionally Wolcen doesn’t have classes, you can use any weapon and build your character in any way you want, wanna be a greatsword wielding mage? You can do that if you want. Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem reviewed by TJ Hafer on PC. "Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem gives me a lot of reasons to want to love it on one hand, and several reasons why I can't on the other. The action RPG gameplay is respectable and even ahead of the class in some areas. The dark fantasy story isn't especially groundbreaking, though it is told with plenty of endearing flair and enthusiasm. But all of that doesn't count for too much when you're as likely to lose a boss fight because of bugs as you are to being smashed by a hellbeast as intended." Данная экшен-РПГ находилась в Раннем Доступе Steam'a в течение 4 лет, но полный релиз, случившийся совсем недавно, доказывает, что разработчиком стоило подождать еще полгодика-год. Можно закрыть глаза на проблемы с соединением, вызванные резким скачком популярности, но баги, аудио-глитчи и боевая система, которая моментами кажется слишком вялой без всякой на то причины, полностью убивает всё удовольствие от игры, у которой на самом деле есть большой потенциал. Wolcen is a fantastic diablo like isometric rpg game. Imagine skyrim with more exploits and an even worse launch. So today the Spiffing Brit is going to play Wolcen Lords Of Chaos. There are of course 1000s of guides and character builds out there which will make your character naturally overpowered. Instead of those developer intended builds we are going to be using perfectly balanced rpg exploits to become the richest person in the game with an infinite money glitch. We are then going to be using the infinite gold exploit to create the most powerful spell which our character should not have access too.
